Nearpod and Common Sense to OfferInteractive Lessons forStudents on Mobile Devices

SAN FRANCISCO, CA: Nearpod, an education technology company, has aligned with Common Sense Education, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families and schools thrive with media and technology, to provide over 75 interactive and engaging lessons on how to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in the digital world.

These lessons empower students to deal with issues like Internet safety, privacy and security, cyberbullying, digital footprints, creative credit and copyright. The Near pod’s technology platform, enable teachers to present the K-12 Digital Literacy and Citizenship curriculum consisting of interactive content such as polls and quizzesto students’ mobile devices directly. The teachers are also allowed to deal with the on-the-fly assessment and robust analytics and reporting on student performance.

All the lessons align to the Common Core State Standards, the International Society for Technology in Education’s National Education Technology Standards, and the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) Standards.
